Bonnie Henrickson - Head Coach

The old adage `Hard work pays off' has never rung more true than when following the career of Kansas women's basketball head coach Bonnie Henrickson. In eight years, Henrickson has molded the proud Jayhawk program back into a perennial contender.

Despite Kansas being a program rich with history and tradition, Henrickson accepted the task of taking over a team coming off its fourth-consecutive losing season when she arrived in Lawrence in 2004. She immediately rolled up her sleeves and went to work, and in a relatively short period of time, has transformed the Jayhawks into a team to be reckoned with once again.

In her eight years at the helm of the Kansas program, Henrickson has taken the Jayhawk program from the cellar of the Big 12 Conference to continually climbing toward the top of the league standings. In addition, KU has advanced to postseason play in six of her eight seasons, including in each of the last five years, highlighted by last season's NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 run.

The Toledo, Ohio native assisted Central Michigan in bringing in the No. 43 recruiting class in 2010. It was the highest of any Michigan school and the only team in the Mid-American Conference to be recognized. It consisted of the nation's No. 37 prospect, Crystal Bradford, who earned All-Mid American Conference Honorable Mention accolades in 2011-12. Green has also worked with fellow guards Niki DiGuilio and Brandie Baker, the 2011 and 2009 MAC Freshmen of the Year, respectively.
